John Goodman in Talks for Villain Cameo in 'The Hangover Part III'

The Hangover films have always been fond of cameos. Mike Tyson is a series stalwart, and though Mel Gibson and Liam Neeson were once slated to play the Bangkok tattoo artist in The Hangover Part II, that role ultimately ended up going to Alpha Dog director Nick Cassavetes, and Paul Giamatti jumped in on the fun as well. Variety now reports that John Goodman is in talks to play a bad guy in the third film, due out in theaters on May 24th, 2013. While it doesn't sound like he'll have a huge presence - his part is described as a "small role as an antagonist" - any movie is automatically better with John Goodman in it. Read on! Goodman is mostly known for his more jovial roles, but he also excels at playing characters who walk that line between good and evil, as seen in films like O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and even flashes of The Big Lebowski. He also played an intimidating Vice Dean in the NBC series "Community" and a tattooed weapons dealer in 2007's Death Sentence, so it'll be fun to see just how far he'll go to cause trouble for the Wolfpack in their new adventure. But exactly what kind of antagonist do you think he'll end up playing? The Playlist offers that the storyline

Roadside Attractions Picking Up Jeff Nichols' Cannes Favorite 'Mud'

Finally - hooray! This was one of my top favorite films coming out of the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer (review), and I was expecting it to get picked up quickly, but it never did. Thompson on Hollywood is finally reporting that Roadside Attractions, with Lionsgate, are "in discussions" to acquire the US distribution rights to Take Shelter director Jeff Nichols' new film Mud, starring Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Michael Shannon, Jacob Lofland and Tye Sheridan fromThe Tree of Life. I'm very glad to hear it's finally getting picked up by someone, as this is an indie gem and deserves to be seen! Read on. Mud stars Tye Sheridan and Jacob Lofland as Ellis and Neckbone, two young boys living on the Mississippi who encounter a drifter with a sordid past, played by Matthew McConaughey. In my review, I described it as "Stand By Me of the Southern Wild because it's a blend of the classic Stand By Me and the charm of Sundance hit Beasts of the Southern Wild." The official description calls Mud "a riveting mystery thriller set in American river country with a stellar cast by one of our greatest new cinematic voices." Couldn't agree more, I think Jeff Nichols is one of the best up-and-coming directors around. While I was hoping that we might get

AMC Considering 'The Walking Dead' Feature Film to End the Series?

Though we don't normally cover TV shows, back when The Walking Dead was kicking off, we were certainly interested enough to cover the zombie drama series on AMC for a little bit before its premiere. Now the series starring Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies and Norman Reedus is gearing up for its third season, and it's quite the juggernaut on cable. However, the show could very well make the jump to the big screen as Bloody Disgusting has heard from sources working very close with the crew that there has been some rumblings about a feature film to potentially cap off the series whenever it concludes. Read on! However, Bloody Disgusting is careful to point out that there have only been "non-business conversations," so a feature film adaptation is far from official. Plus, if the film is going to serve as a cap to the series as the report implies, there's no telling how long off it would be with no endgame in sight for the AMC series. TV series like "24" have been waiting in the wings to head to the big screen for awhile, but with no film in theaters yet, so this may not even come to fruition. On the other hand, The X-Filesand Sex and the City have had a

Yes, we've seen toys come to life from Disney and Pixar in the computer animated franchise Toy Story. This looks pretty damn cool, and feels like a fresh departure from studio animated films. Watch! The trailer for Vivian Schilling and Jiří Barta's the English dubbed Toys in the Attic Following the symbolism of the Cold War era, the world of the attic is divided into the land of happy toys in the West and the land of evil in the East.
